THE EEZs

Bermuda’s Economic Empowerment Zones (EEZs) foster growth and sustainability in designated communities by providing targeted business support and financial incentives. Located in North East Hamilton, South East Hamilton, Somerset, and St. George’s, the EEZs offer payroll tax concessions, customs duty deferments, and preferential financing to encourage investment, strengthen enterprises, and drive long-term economic development.

north east hamilton

Focused on revitalizing Hamilton’s eastern neighborhoods, this zone promotes mixed-use development, cultural preservation, and community empowerment.

A key corridor within the City of Hamilton, this zone encourages commercial expansion, creative industries, and mixed-use development to support urban renewal.

st. george's
